I registered a few days ago and did another registration today. I am told that I
will receive an email to set my password. I have not received that email and

Sorry, subscribed to what? To joint this list you don't need a password.
If you mean you subscribed to the OO forum then I'm afraid we have
nothing to do with the administration there (this is a volunteer group
supporting OO unpaid in our spare time via an e-mail list). I'm afraid
there does not seem to be a way of contacting the forum administrator,
whoever that is.
When you registered you should have received an email with a link that
you must click on to confirm that you want to register (to preclude
others registering you without your knowledge). Are you *sure* you
entered your e-mail address correctly? Really, really sure? The only
thing I can suggest is that you create a new e-mail address for yourself
- Hotmail or Gmail for example - and register that. If you use Gmail you
can have it forward mail to your "proper" address so that you'll see
watched threads without having to run Gmail every time. Don't know if
you can do that with Hotmail.
