explaining what each of the files in Application Data\OpenOffice.org2\user\config is for and, perhaps, some indication
I am going to skip the contents of the imagecache folder, because that changes acoording to the UI language packs that have been installed. Likewise, the soffice.cfg folder containsthings that the user has addedtotheir installation of OOo. [At a minimum,it contains the UI language packs that have been used.] * autotbl.fmt As best as I can determine, this is the default style for tables. * Standard.sob This is a bitmap table. I do not know where,or how it is used. AFAIK, it is not user editable. * soc extension This is a color palette. This is user editable. * sod extension These line styles used in draw and impress. This is user editable. * soe extension This contains the styles used for arrowheads in DRAW and IMPRESS. This is user editable. * sog extension This contains gradient options that can be selected in draw and impress. This is user editable. * soh extension This contains the hatching options in draw, calc, and impress. This is user editable. Typically, OOo uses only "standard.so?" when the options are offered to the user. To change to a different selection of options, one has to copy the new file over standard.so?and then restart OOo. ######## Would writing documentation on how users can create/edit those files be worthwhile? (Everything but tables, and bitmaps, which I haven't figured out how to edit.] xan jonathon -- OOo can not correct for incompetence in creating documents from MSO. Furthermore,OOo can not compensate for the defective and flawed security measures used by Microsoft. As such, before using this product for exams that require faulty and defective software, ensure that you will not be unjustly penalized for the incompetence of the organization that requires the use of software that is known to be flawed, defective, bug-ridden, and fails to meet ISO file format standards. --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
