Microsoft Office does not open files saved in OpenOffice.org's native
format even though it is an internationally recognized standard for documents.
To fix it, use File > Save As. In the Save As window, look at the File
type drop down list. Its default setting is OpenDocument (.odt). Click it to
open the list. Select Microsoft Word 97/2000/XP (.doc). After making sure the
File Name is correct, click Save.
