Be aware that OpenOffice.org 2.1 requires Mac OS X 10.4 and will not
run properly on Mac OS X 10.3. You can download 2.0 from
ftp://ooopackages.good-day.net/pub/OpenOffice.org/MacOSX/2.0.4rc3_20060930
The files in this directory are disk image files and look for the files with
PPC (Power
PC as I think your eMac has a G3 or G4 processor) and the appropriate
ISO language code (en_US is American English, fr is French, de is German, etc.)
These files are about 130MB in size and it is recommended that a broadband
connection
(Cable/DSL) be used to download them rather than narrowband (G3 Cell
Phone/Dial-up)
to connect to the Internet to download them.

Please see the above mentioned web page for additional assistance with
OpenOffice.org
on your eMac.
