Wordpad saves text documents in the .doc format. It is likely
that you have your computer set up so that all .doc files are opened
by Wordpad when you double click them. That is why the icon for the
file is the one for Wordpad. Move that same file to a computer that
has MS Word, and the icon will likely be Word's. If you have saved
the document with a File type of Microsoft Word 97/2000/XP (.doc),
then everything is alright.
