Sorry for your loss. I did the same sort of thing for my dad's funeral last year. Because OOo doesn't support playing music throughout a slide show, you'll be better off using another method. Either play the music separately, or use DVD authoring software to create a DVD slide show with integral music. If the music is not keyed to the content, just playing a cd while the slideshow runs is the simplest option. The nice thing about doing a DVD is that you can give copies of it to family and friends.
