cos(9.47/12) = 0.70. Maybe you slipped on the keyboard and hit 4 instead of
1 accidently?

cos(9.17/12) = 0.721959221055 (Casio CFX-9850GB PLUS). Display shows
0.7219592211.
cos(9.17/12) = 0.72195922106 (Casio FX-602P). Display shows 0.721959221.
cos(9.17/12) = 0.721959221055309 (OpenOffice.org Calc 2.1)
cos(9.17/12) = 0,72195922105530939890728569812481 (Advanced calculator in
Windows XP)

cos(9.17/12)= 0,70 seems to be wrong.

The answer of a cosinus calculation is not in degrees or radians. The
parameter is, however. In this case:

cos(9.17/12 [rad]) = -> cos(9.17/12・180/π [°]) = cos(43.78°) = 0.72.

Besides, it seems like you try to convert radians to degrees by
multiplying the radians with 360/π, which instead should be 180/π, but
that's another story.

Hope this helps.

I don't really understand what you could be doing wrong, that gives you
0.70 instead of 0.72, but as far as I tested, OpenOffice.org seems to give
the correct answer, at least for cosinus.

I guess that you with "tanus" mean "tangens" (which seems to be "tangent"
in English, according to what I found with google) or is it really "tanus"
in your language? Sinus, cosinus and tangens is Latin (I think) and seems to
be the same in German, Swedish, Italian etc, but not in English (sine,
cosine, tangent?), but again, quite another story…
