I am using version 2.1 of OpenOffice.org and my problem has to do with sorting in Calc. I am a Microsoft Office user and decided to give Open Office a try but I have a problem when sorting in Calc. When I try to sort, Calc does not recognize header rows automatically like Excel does. Is there something I am missing or is that just a problem that I will have to live with if using Calc? I am also having difficulty with Base. I am used to importing large files in Access and find that I can not do the same in Base. The files that I import into Access are very large .dbf files that are too large to open in excel or calc so I can't copy and paste. Access doesn't have any problem opening these but Base doesnt' seem to be able to. There is no import menu that I have been able to find and it can not open Access Database files or .dbf files from what I can tell. I would love to make the switch to OpenOffice.org but Access may have to keep me as a Microsoft Office user if Base can not be improved. Thank you.
