Thanks for replying. It starts downloading OK and then rapidly completes the process with a message that it has failed or is corrupted. Matemwe School teachers have a computer and they lack English skills. This version would really help them, so I would be most grateful for your advice or different link. Tim Boswell
Tim still looking around on the OOo website (not an example of user-friendliness I'm afraid...) http://qatrack.services.openoffice.org/view.php according to this table, there have only been builds in swahili made for Mac. This manifestly isn't complete, since Kilinux made a Jambo-OOo for Linux (maybe not a proper OOo build, but a 'fork' based on OOo's open source). I also told you yet, that for Mac, the Release Candidates include many languages, among them swahili. http://oootranslation.services.openoffice.org/pub/OpenOffice.org/2.1.0rc2/ here is a swahili language pack http://oootranslation.services.openoffice.org/pub/OpenOffice.org/2.1.0rc2/OOo_2.1.0rc2_20061130_Win32Intel_langpack_sw-TZ.exe for windows, and for Solaris http://oootranslation.services.openoffice.org/pub/OpenOffice.org/2.1.0rc2/OOo_2.1.0rc2_20061201_Solarisx86_langpack_sw-TZ.tar.gz and Linux: http://oootranslation.services.openoffice.org/pub/OpenOffice.org/2.1.0rc2/OOo_2.1.0rc2_20061201_LinuxIntel_langpack_sw-TZ.tar.gz As you can see, these are for the 2.1 versions HTH -- Guy using dutch OOo 2.2 RC 1 on a iMac Intel DualCore Tiger and dutch OOo 2.2 RC 1 on a G4 PPC Powerbook Tiger -- please reply only to [email protected] -- Dodoes can't afford to have headaches
