I can't advise you on Quickbooks, but I've printed many envelopes and
not had a sheet pass through, unless I forgot to put in an envelope.

<snip>

I can't advise on Quickbooks either but I think what David is referring to
when he mentions blank pages is that to design an envelope you do
Insert>Envelope and can, if you are not careful, end up with a *two* page
document - a blank page followed by the envelope. The trick is to delete the
blank page before printing the envelope. To avoid having to remember to do
this each time, set up and save an envelope *template* which has the blank
page removed. Mine has my own details in a tiny font top left and I
copy/paste the addressee's details from the letter I'm writing into a text
box correctly placed in the envelope for the purpose.

Alternatively, when printing the envelope, do File>Print and choose to print
only page 2. Note that this facility is *not* available from the Print
button on the main tool bar which prints directly without any dialogues.
