The first step is for you to describe what is or is not happening to
cause the problem. Normally, you just plug the USB drive in and copy or
move files to it like any other folder.
Problem may be how to find the removable drive in the save as dialog. I
too have found that difficult, particularly on the Mac/X11 platform.
