The question has been asked often and has me and others not familiar
with the
Mac baffled. I do not understand why you cannot create icons for the
other
applications.
I'm sure there must be a way (as there is with Windows and Linux), but I
haven't had a chance to fiddle with my wife's Mac to figure it out yet.
The easiest way I can think of is to save blank Calc, Draw and Impress
documents to the desktop as templates. You could copy move the templates
to the dock or wherever you find most useful.
