Do you have a separate paper tray for the envelopes? I don't. So I have
to print the envelope and the document separately:
1. Using normal paper, print pages 2-n by selecting exactly that in the
print dialogue from File>Print
2. Remove the normal paper, insert an envelope oriented correctly for
your printer and print page 1 only using the same dialogue.
Of course this assumes that your envelope page comes before your
document pages. If the envelope is last, print the document as pages
1-(n-1) and then print the envelope as page n.
You also need to ensure that the page formats & styles are correct. On
my printer, the envelope is printed with the "Envelope" style in
landscape orientation but the document is "A4" style in portrait
orientation. These settings are printer dependent; some printers, like
mine, take envelopes short edge first, hence landscape while others take
them long edge first and would therefore require portrait orientation.
Please note that I'm using the word "style" in its very specific
OpenOffice jargon meaning. For details about "styles", see the Help and
the on-line documentation available at the OpenOffice web site.
