I have some documents that are read only, how do I change this so the
document can be edited.
There is a button on the tool bar that will make a 'read only' file
editable. It is a white piece of paper with a green pencil on it.

To change the document so that it opens as editable, you need to go to
tools > options > openoffice.org > security and down the bottom of
that page there are options around opening the document as read only.

Huh ?? Defender doesn't stop spyware (Webroot) ; firewall is only 50%
effective (Zdnet) ; UAC can be turned off and is annoying ; SP1 (incl
security reasons) due end of 2007...
