I am unable to load openoffice as it says it requires X11 but my mac says I cannot load x11 as it is already loaded. Apple helpdesk very sure it is openoffice problem not a mac problem - I have Tiger 10.4
Hello Richard, For Tiger, you need to install the version of X11 that came with your Mac OSX install disks. The version on the Apple website is for Panther (10.3). The package you need to install X11 on your hard disk is X11User.pkg (put your install disk in your computer and look for the package with Spotlight). Please consult the How-To on the OpenOffice.org on http://porting.openoffice.org/mac HTH -- Guy using dutch OOo 2.2 RC 2 on a iMac Intel DualCore Tiger and dutch OOo 2.2 RC 2 on a G4 PPC Powerbook Tiger -- please reply only to [email protected] -- Dodoes can't afford to have headaches
