Merci beaucoup pour l'assistance! Pardon, ma francais et mal ...
I did try Nomax's idea. Yesterday I downloaded and installed the J2SE5 java package for Intel Macs. Then I uninstalled and reinstalled OOo. Everything seems to be working now. When I do Options, Tools, a JRE does show up (I think it was reported as 1.5.4 or something like that; I don't have my Mac with me right now). Also, I think I didn't do the installation correctly on my first try: I failed to drag the OOo package into my Applications folder. That might be related to the problem that I was having. In any case, it's working now. Thank you all for your help! You can download Tiger version of the JRE from the Appler website at this URL: http://www.apple.com/downloads/macosx/apple/macosx_updates/j2se50release4intel.html Regards, Nomax. Nomax: The Mac version of OpenOffice.org from 2.0 onwards requires the installation of Java 5. There is an open issue to back this out to the version that comes installed with Tiger. James McKenzie Sorry I wasn't aware of that. :-[ I guess this is the one to get then: http://www.apple.com/downloads/macosx/apple/macosx_updates/javaformacosx104release5.html By the way, it's a 83Mb download. ;) Greetz, Nomax. -- Get SeaMonkey <http://www.mozilla.org/projects/seamonkey/> or Firefox <http://www.spreadfirefox.com/?q=affiliates&id=822&t=1> and visit Arcade Belgium <http://www.arcadebelgium.be/> !
