Thanks for your prompt reply. It was something very simple. I did not know that you have to run Auto Format to put Auto Correct into effect. It is working now.

The only problem is that we do not know what you have tried. And without knowing what you did, how can we be sure that any advice we give will be anything you have not tried? However, here is something that you may not have tried. Type a word (i.e., thign) that is misspelled that you want to be auto corrected. Move the cursor over the word (thign). Use the F7 key to open the Spellcheck window. Click the correct spelling in the Suggestion list to highlight it. Then click the AutoCorrect button. Anytime there after, when you type this word (thign) followed by a space, Writer will automatically change it to thing. Or, you can add all of your words at one time to a replacement table. Tools > Autocorrect > Replacement (tab). Enter each misspelled word in the "Replace" box and the correct spelling in the "with" box. Then click the New button. Continue this process until you have completed your list of words.
