2007/3/15, Suzanne Beitling <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>:
I use the MAC OS X operating system and so far I like it a lot. I am trying to install the Spanish dictionary on the OpenOffice.org 2.1, and after I click on File/Wizards/ Install new dictionaries, then the wizard comes up and I click on "Start DicOOo" the window that it brings up is not full size. It looks like someone chopped it off, and I have tried to get it full sized to no avail. Any tips? It looks like all the info I need is there, but I can't get to it because the screen is too small. Thanks for your help, -- Suzy Beitling BA, Spanish MAE Student TSU University
Hello Suzy, I can't reproduce your problem on my iMac Intel with OOo 2.2 (unstable release candidate no.2). I remember that some months ago somebody on the list had a similar problem with DicOOo... Maybe you can so a search in the mailing list: Somebody gave the keyboard actions to go through the steps without seeing... Unfortunately, it isn't all <tabs> and <enters> but also mouse clicks; where u-you have to see where you click... Some ideas: • Can you use the green button (top left on the DicOOo window)? • Are there scrollbars on this window? • Is the fonttype extra big? this might be reduced in Tools > Options > OpenOffice.org > View > user interface > Scaling (less than 100%) or unselect 'use system font for user interface' -- Guy using dutch OOo 2.2 RC 2 on a iMac Intel DualCore Tiger and dutch OOo 2.2 RC 2 on a G4 PPC Powerbook Tiger -- please reply only to [email protected] -- Dodoes can't afford to have headaches
