hello,

i am trying to make what i know as a fill in form.  i have done this with
word but no longer have word.  can anyone help me with this?  im not super
computer smart so please keep it simple.  i want to be able to put a box
after some words to check and a box to fill in with an explanation of what
happened.  this is for a form to keep track of training for my search and
rescue dogs.  i need things like dates, weather and a large field to put the
info in about what happened etc...

Hello Kelly

XForm is what you're looking for. In OpenOffice.org go to File > New > XForm
(second under the first dividing line). It's a Write document with special
toolbars (button, text field, etc.)
