I didn't know that was possible so I tried it. I inserted
a 953 MB pdf. It seemed to work, but when I clicked on it,
OpenOffice.org crashed

from the screen without any error messages what so ever, and the next
time I started
OpenOffice.org
that document was suggested to be recovered). I tried it twice with
the same result.

Hi,

is there a way to import or read PDF files with OOo. I used to be able
to put PDF into M$Word (Insert - Object - PDF Document) as pages and
then print again to PDF with the PDF Writer Print Driver.

:-)

Try Insert>Object>Plugin then click Browse. Ensure the file type is set
to "Adobe Acrobat (*.pdf)" and then browse to the pdf file. You can
resize it and its scroll bars seem to work just as if it was still in
Acrobat.

Just tried this with OOo 2.0.4 build 2.0.4.7 , openSUSE10.2 Only option I get for file types is all files. Is there a plugin I need to get first or is this only for Windows version?

I didn't install any plugins into my OO 2.1 installation running on Win XP Pro so I suppose it's an OS specific thing. Seems a shame ...
