Hi,
OpenOffice is a free office suite similar to but NOT Microsoft
Office. If you want Microsoft Word I suggest you speak to Microsoft.
If you would like a free office suite that is comparable in quality
and arguably more competent that Microsoft Office I suggest you
download OpenOffice from www.openoffice.org
It will open Word files just fine.
