I found the OpenOffice.org2 folder with the personal settings
Deleated that folder and uninstalled then reinstalled OOo 2.1 (windows xp)
My settings were gone
Well I printer a 2 page document without any trouble.
Somewhere in that folder there was a error - I think.
Thanks.
by the by - I searched the c: drive and for some reason the search
could not find any folder or file with OpenOffice.org in it, except in the
folder where the start menu is stored. Weird.

When I try to do a clean uninstall of OOo I cannot get rid the

I uninstall OOo and then reinstall OOo and see the same "viewing"
settings and have some printing problems occure. I want to get the
stuff cleaned up.
I uninstall OOo again and use a registry cleaner, plus manually go
through the Registry and hunt down every refrerence to OpenOffice
and soffice there is. Then reinstall OOo - suprise - the
preferences are still there.
Where is the problem personal settings stored?
I also am having problem with the printing of documents. The
printout prints 4 pages per sheet instead of 1 page per sheet. I
go to the printer settings and try setting it to 2 pages per sheet
and it works but when I set it to 1 page per sheet - I get 4. This
happens to every printer I have ( HP and Epson ) but ALL other
windows software do not have this problem. Only OO0 2.1 is doing
this.
Any help?
Perhaps you have forgotten that uninstalling OOo 2.1 does not
remove all of the OOo files. The preference files are among those
files. Do a search for openoffice.org. It should find two folders.
One of them should contain a subfolder named user, and user should
have a subfolder named templates. This is the folder which contains
your personal settings. I suggest you rename this folder or if you
desire, you can delete it. Then install OOo 2.1 if you have not
already done so. Run OOo 2.1. It should recreate this the folder you
renamed (or deleted) with the default settings.
It would also seem possible that your printer settings in OOo are
not correct. File > Printer settings > Properties should show you how
the printer is configured for OOo.
