Forwarding to unregistered OP
Harold,
How can an unregistered person post to this mailing list???
*Anybody* can send an e-mail to [email protected] which is how to
send a message (question or answer [or spam :-( ]) to this list.
If you are not registered you get a "nag" auto-response (I think) but
your message still makes it through to the list.
Actually, I'm trying to troubleshoot why messages from several of my
other email accounts never get posted. I've unsubscribed from those
accounts and am using only this (my wife's) account and the newsgroup
to post and monitor.
I tried sending messages to [email protected] from a couple of the
other accounts but neither have they shown up nor have I received any
nags.
A puzzlement!!
First, please *read* my signature and don't reply to my personal e-mail
address. Instead, please reply *only* to [email protected]
If you use the Gmane news system to post to this list then your e-mail
address *must* be registered with Gmane. If it isn't, your post will
bounce. Nothing to do with us; talk to Gmane. But you should see a
message from the Gmane autoresponder saying that your message has not
been sent.
How do you know your messages are not being posted? Have you checked the
archive? For example, I expect that if I send to this list then my
message will complete the circle by appearing in my *inbox* - it gets
sent to "[EMAIL PROTECTED]" and I'm registered to *receive* into my
inbox all such messages. If I use Outlook Express this is what happens.
If I use Thunderbird it simply doesn't. The message gets sent but it
doesn't get reflected into my inbox. Same story if I use the Gmail web
interface. Puzzled me for ages till I did some serious research.
What e-mail client are you using?
I've changed the Subject of this conversation so those who are not
interested can skip it.
