Thanks, Terry. :-)

This isn't quite what I was asking about, but the end effect is basically the same. This issue # 40285 is talking about using a technique available in Writer, where paragraphs can be moved up and down with <Ctrl><Alt><Up/Down> (which I didn't know you could do, BTW!) and making it available in Calc.

I'm pretty new to this... *If* I wanted to put my hand up and say that I would like this implemented, is that what the "vote for this issue" link is for? What do I do if I want to make an alternative suggestion?

Kind Regards,
Wendy

(did you drive through Kaiwaka at night? We're known as the "little town of lights" due to fairy lights being strung up all over town in a variety of designs - a sawmill, sailing ship, hairdresser's scissors, post box, library book, etc :-)

Is there a one-step equivalent in Calc to Excel's "Insert Cut Cells" after one has "Cut" a row? I can't see how to do it without taking the extra steps of (1) inserting a new row before pasting the contents into it and (2) deleting the old row.

Have been a subscriber to this list for a couple of weeks now, and have learned a lot. Hoping someone can add to that knowledge now, on something that has been puzzling me for a while. :-)

You are correct. See this issue:
http://www.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=40285 . Greetings to
Kaiwaka. I drove through there many times years ago.
