Based on the information you have given, it appears that you have successfully downloaded and installed OOo (OpenOffice.org), so you can stop repeatedly downloading the program. Now you can delete the folder on your desktop. Please understand that OOo does not trash your desktop by dumping shortcut icons all over it. You will find the links to start the programs (eg. Writer, Calc, Draw, Impress, etc.) in your Start Menu under "All Programs". Please reply to [email protected] only. Hope this helps.
