Dear Eric:I have read the users' forum and the PDF about installing Open Office in Mac OSX 10.3.9.I am specifically referring to Dwight A. Tkatschow's post of Mon, 4 Sep 2006 with the subject "[users] Command line Instructions for Getting Rid of Xterm do not Work".I also kept banging my head against the wall because I, too, could not locate my nano editor. This command, "sudo nano /etc/X11/xinit/xinitrc" always vexed me because the nano editor never existed in Mac OSX 10.3.9.However, I do have the pico editor. Therefore, I think you should be suggesting that some Mac users should use this command line in Terminal:sudo pico /etc/X11/xinit/xinitrcThis worked fine for me. I was able to "mem out" (add a pound sign to) the "xterm &" line accordingly. It worked great. In summation, where "sudo nano" may not work for some Mac OSX users, they should try "sudo pico" instead. Please update your PDF accordingly.--Sincerely,Chris SkurkeyArt DirectorAnniversary Publications.com LTD
