OpenOffice is able to open MS Office documents, but MS Office does not

I tried Word a few other applications but it either doesn’t come

document in hopes that you can maybe tell more, by openig the
document yourself, as to what I did wrong.Can you please help me
with this, or maybe tell me what is the problem?
I am etremely worried as I am in the process of looking for a job,
and this is the only place I have my resume saved.
