You can do it one block at a time.
Select the text box with your bullet points/paragraphs in.
Apply the 'appear' transition as previously stated.
Right click on the animation that comes up in the list.
Click on Effect Options
Click Text Animation
Group text: By 1st level paragraphs
(If you want it word by word click now on the Effect tab and select
the option for it)
Click OK
