There are a couple of ways to do this. Click the cell below the
last entry in the column. Then click the sigma icon. (This is the
icon for the sum function.) Finally use the Enter key, or click the
green check (tick).
You can also define the sum function to add the entries in the
column. For example, entries are in column D from row 4 through row
99. You enter this formula in whatever cell you desire except in
column D in rows 4 through 99:
=sum(D4:D99)
All functions require an = (equal sign) at the beginning.
