I have mac OS X operating system

I downloaded openoffice.org with Mozzilla Firefox When I open the application, it defaults to Writer. How do I access the other components? I have searched through all the help available and can't seem to find the answer
In the top left hand corner there is an icon. Once clicked it will present you with options on other documents that you can open. Alternatively you could use file > new > calc (for example... /paul -- Vista is "dramatically more secure than any other operating system released" Bill Gates Huh ??
