Ok I think I understand the issue now...

The windows clipboard works at 72 dpi, however Draw uses the native
monitor resolution (96dpi) therefore:
a) when I transfer a screenshot (72dpi) to the clipboard everything works fine
b) when I transfer a native draw object (96dpi in my case) to the
clipboard, this is "enlarged" by a 96/72 factor or 33%.

I verified it by changing the screen resolution in WIndows to 72 dpi:
in this mode I get a 1:1 correspondence (well almost... there is
indeed the extra pixel Joe was mentioning).

So I will open another thread with a different question i.e. can I
change the default dpi settings of Draw?

Thanks you all for your help (and see you in the next thread :-) )

Cheers,

Michele
