I subscribe to three lists; announce, discuss, and users. I am
definately not snowed under by the announce list. When something comes
out on the announce list, i pay attention to it, like all nine emails
this year. Why should i get the same email three times in three lists?
Especially when the announce list is for announcements!

You are just miffed as can be seen by your sarcasm, and why is that?
Because you have a problem. When you ask for the same email to be posted
to three lists you are increasing my overheads and making it my problem.
Please don't make your problem mine... solve yours!

For questions relating to the use of OpenOffice.org (the application). A
very popular and effective list. This list is in English. For
non-English help resources, see the "Native-Lang" project lists below.

[email protected]
The primary list for important, community-wide announcements. For major
release notifications, major new projects, important documentation
releases, and so on. This is not a discussion list, and is not open to
public posting. Traffic is expected to be very low, of the order of
fewer than ten messages per month. If you're interested in
OpenOffice.org, it is recommended you subscribe at a minimum to this
list.

I think that explains it.
