Source 1

sounds like some other software I have had trouble with

Source 1 is the actual source disk and/or directory from which
you originally installed the software. I had to deal with this problem
when one of my software packages wants the original disk - not a copy of it
in the CD drive during the updates.

Hi,

To to clarify for people what is happening, what is the EXACT
message
you get when you try to install.
Also what steps do you take to install?

Windows Installer popup:
The Feature you are trying to use is on a CD-Rom or other removeable
device that is not available.

Please insert the Openoffice.org 2.1 disc and click OK

Pulldown:
Use Source: 1

This occurs when in the add/remove programs option... OR when
executing the install package. I downloaded the new version and then
clicked on it to run it from my downloads folder.

It appears to be a conflict with uninstalling the old version.

The autorun is NOT going.
