Vida; when you complete your document save it, then do the following:

File|Save As
- Enter a file name:
- File type: click on the down arrow to the right of the box where it
says "OpenDocument Text (.odt); select "Microsoft Word 97/2000/XP (.doc)

Make sure that the box below marked "Automatic file name extention" is
checked.

Click Save to save your file.

The OOo document will then be saved as a MS Word document with the .doc
file extension. When you email or give the document to those other
folks, give them the file with the .doc extension and they will be able
to open and read it in MS Word.
