I am not familiar with FC6; however with Ubuntu (which uses Gnome &
.deb) I use the --force-all option in dpkg, example:

dpkg --force-all -i openoffice.org-debian-menus_2.2-9119_all.deb

and that works on the Ubuntu distro.

Perhaps you need to do something similar on the FC6 install .rpm commands?
