Hi, Only MS Works can open an MS Works file. That's how they lock you in. If you still have Works you can open the wps file and save it as something OpenOffice can read (rtf or doc for example). Or you could try searching google for a wps to doc converter.
I would guess that he never had Works. "Hi, I have received a .wps document in an email…" indicates that. Mike, just tell the person who sent it to you to save it in another format. That's probably the only way, except installing Works on your machine. Or, as already said, maybe there are converters out there to buy or download for free. Johnny Andersson
