Strange
when I downloaded the 2.2 version, and then clicked on the file,
it unpacked itself and then installed itself without any prompts from
me untill it asked the install stuff.
There was no need to click on "instmsia" or "instmsiw". I just clicked
on the download file - OOo_2.2.0_Win32Intel_install_wJRE_en-US.exe
If you are using XP, the downloaded file should be that one and once you
click on it, you need not to click on any other program for the install.

I've downloaded the software and installed it using the wizzard and have
also updated Java. However the only files that I have are container files.
My PC's running on Windows XP and I made sure I downloaded the version with
respect to my OS, however when I double click on the application "instmsia"
and "instmsiw" they both say "wrong OS or OS version for application." and
apart from them I only have the setups, readmes, licenses, the java folder
and the container files. Please help! Thankyou
