Links have the formatting of the cell which contains them.  You have even
less chance of transporting character formatting.  The same issue arises in
Calc with links to cells which contain line breaks.  An issue has been filed
on that account: http://qa.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=35913 .
