Hi,
I'm a complete noob when it comes to linux so bear with me in that
respect.
I'd like to install OOo 2.2 on my Gentoo system. Gentoo's portage
system only has version 2.0.4.
So I went to the download site and downloaded the Linux version, only
it comes in RPMs (I confess I have no idea what that means) which I
don't appear to be able to install on Gentoo (rpm gives command not
found).
So I guess my question is whether or not there is a version I can
download for Gentoo? If not where can I download the source (with
compile instructions) from?
