Apologies if I've missed a pre-existing FAQ / knowledgebase item that
addresses this...
Situation:
Installing OOo (from file:OOo_2.2.0_Win32Intel_install_wJRE_en-US.exe,
build date 22/03/2007?) onto a Windows 98SE computer (PIII / 550Mhz,
128Mb RAM, Nvidia GeForce MX4000).
Problem:
There didn't appear to be any opportunity to specify the install path
during the install process. I was asked where I'd like to do the unpack
(that worked fine), but the installation went automatically to
"C:\Program Files\OpenOffice.org 2.2\" with no opportunity for user
intervention.
Since I only had about 500Mb free on C: drive, and 106Gb elsewhere, it
would have been good to put the installation on D:!
I notice the existing documentation refers to a "response text file" in
connection with multiple user setups, which looked like a possible
mechanism for a workaround. However, the info seems more relevant to a
previous version of the installer. It's not clear whether any of this
transfers to the Nullsoft install engine.
Have I overlooked something obvious? Is there a workaround for this?
Will it ONLY run from C: drive??

This happened to me yesterday. I got it to work properly on a second
attempt. I now have it on my J drive. I'm a bit hazy because I was jumping
about a lot, but I think it was because I went to the temp files and
called setup directly that it allowed me control. hope this helps.
