Actually I think it's more complicated than that; the above will only
associate Word documents back to MS Word, however there are multiple
other file associations that will need to be fixed as well: Excel,
Powerpoint, associated template files etc., etc. I don't have or use MS
Office 2007, so I am unsure what all of it's extensions are, but perhaps
the OP needs to check each one:
