I can confirm both Adrian & your results as well...

I just downloaded & compiled the PClos 2.2 version from:

<http://distro.ibiblio.org/pub/linux/distributions/texstar/pclinuxos/apt/pclinuxos/2007/RPMS.testing/>
[openoffice.org-go-ooo-2.2.0-5pclos2007.i586.rpm]

Fired it up & downloaded Manfred's Works doc in the above & it opened
just fine. Note: prevous tests attempting to open the doc from
StarOffice 8 & OOo 2.2 (from the OOo site - not an Ubuntu distro)
resulted in both crashing.

I wonder what other goodies PClos have included in their version :-)
Downloading their full distro now...
