     You appear to be frustrated for some reason. But you only made 
general statements rather than specific ones so it is very hard to 
give you any help.
     What is the name of the file you downloaded? What did you do 
after you downloaded it? Did you read the instructions for installing 
the downloaded file before trying to do so?
     The download page is http://download.openoffice.org/2.2.0/. On 
the right side of that page is a list of links under Additional 
Information. The third link is Installation Instructions. This is the 
one you need to use to get the instructions you need. The fifth link 
is to the User Guides. These should help you learn how to use the 
program.
     If you are more comfortable using French rather than English, you 
might want to go to http://fr.openoffice.org/. It has the same 
information in French.
