Your neice can do all of that using open source programs now... I do it every day without paying M$soft a dime. I should also add that I do this for my customers as well. Mind you, when I used M$soft & Outlook (not OE) years ago it worked quite well, so I'm not saying that it doesn't work as advertised. I simply think that it is rather silly to continue to lock yourself into M$ when there are other options available. So a few questions for you & your neice (apply accordingly): 1. Does she use OOo? 2. What did she pay for her M$oft Office package w/Outlook? 3. Has she ever used Linux or other non-M$oft OS's? 4. Has she ever lost data from a virus or trojan? As Cor mentioned, there are plans to implement a PIM/Calendar in OOo. However, I am one that would vote against that; OOo is big enough as it is and bolting on a Mozilla Lightning or simiar is (IMHO) just more likely to make the suite unwieldy and asking for bugs. I'd much rather see it cleaned up & improved upon for what it is, and continue to add and debug API's for connecting to outside PIM/Calendar programs. That way OOo maintains it's integrity, and provides it's users the freedom to choose whatever PIM/Calendar/Email application that fits them best. --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
