And just what has this to do with the original post which was:

Hello,
I have just downloaded and installed Open Office initially to use Writer
in place of MS Word but to send documents to Word users. In the process
of doing this I need to scan material and insert as OCR for them to
edit. My scanner is bundled with Omnipage SE which works well with Word
but although I have followed Omnipage instructions to associate Writer,
it fails to appear as 'Acquire' in the Writer file menu. Can you offer
any help please, I cannot see anything in FAQ.

Regards,

R.F.Ruth

Please don't hijack other peoples threads.

You will likely get more replies if you start a new one, since those people
who might be able to help you maybe never read your question since the
subject line says nothing about your problem.

Or people who actually read it might just know nothing about your problem,
since they opened the message just to answer another question, not yours.

Or, if people actually have an answer to your question and they happen to
read it, in spite of what I said above, the attention to the original
question of the thread might be moved to your question, meaning that the
original OP of the thread never get his answers.

I also have Omnipage SE, but still I can't answer your question since I
never used it, I am sorry for that.
