Please state specifically what the error messages were. Many
people on this mailing list have installed 2.2 over older versions of
OOo without any difficulties. So, we need to know how your case is
different. The error messages will help to solve the problem.

The exact error message that I am getting while installing it is:
Internal Error 2908.
{0C89ABC0-97DD-4D63-A42E-516AC4076E4B}
More specifically, this error occurs near the end of the installation
progress bar. I have tried installing this, first on top of 2.1 and that
did not work. Then I tried completely removing 2.1 and that still did
not work. I tried downloading to a different directory and that still
did not work.
