i just updated to OOo2.2 and during the installation i was asked
whether i want to use the mac system fonts, to which i agreed...that
might have been a mistake, since i can no onger use the hindi script
(devanagari/devanagari-qwerty), which is so essential for my work.
both when i try to type new text, as well as when i try to open an
old document, all the devanagari symbols are replaced by little squares.
my questions:
1) what do i need to do the use the devanagri script again??
2) do i need to set up OOo in such a way that it does NOT use mac
system fonts for this purpose? (even though the devanagri script is
part of the mac system)
3) if the second question is answered with yes, then how can i
accomplish this task?
