CAN I USE OPEN OFFICE ON iMAC? Which version should I download?
Alan Take a look at the Mac porting pages of OpenOffice.org: http://porting.openoffice.org/mac/ You'll have to install the X11 windowing system (if you don't ahve it already). Follow the instructions of the How-To pdf closely. The download starts here: http://porting.openoffice.org/mac/download/x11.html There are different versions of X11 for Panther (Mac OS X 10.3.x) and Tiger (10.4.x) There are different versions of OOo for Mac Intels and Mac PPCs A native (Aqua) version of OOo is in the making... available probably later this year. In the mean time, OOo under X11 does a good job. -- Guy using dutch OOo 2.2 RC 4 on a iMac Intel DualCore Tiger and dutch OOo 2.2 RC 4 on a G4 PPC Powerbook Tiger -- please reply only to [EMAIL PROTECTED] -- Dodoes can't afford to have headaches --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
