It runs on all versions of Windows, going back to Windows 98. 2) No, you can have both OpenOffice and MS Office on the computer, as I do on my work computer. However, when you install OpenOffice, you'll be asked if you want OpenOffice to be the default app for MS Office files. This is your choice and it can easily be changed later.
