Have you selected a dictionary to use? The available dictionaries have a
'tick' against them, if the required dictionary is not 'ticked' it needs
installing. The following link may be of assistance

If you have the wrong dictionary selected i.e. US English, this could
be why it is accepting some strange English spellings.
